A town with superb views over the valley of the avance and the Landes forest. Legend has it that the town’s name is the result of a love dispute between the lords of Casteljaloux and Labastide. This quarrel is said to have inspired the names of the two towns. A world-renowned “blonde d’aquitaine” cattle breeding station is located here.
