The commune covers 76,000 hectares of forest, bordering the Gironde and Landes regions and crossed by the Ciron river. Henri IV’s hunting ground at the time, in 1646 Allons witnessed a quadruple assassination of the seigneur de Capchicot over the granting of a burial title between two seigneurial families.
