Presentation
Heritage: Remnant of the 12th-century church of Martillac, and the 19th-century neo-Romanesque parish church adorned with Giovanni Massuti’s decorative work on its half-dome vault divided into quadrants (featuring winged and haloed angel heads).
The commune was created in 1879 from the northeastern part of Labastide-Castel-Amouroux. A village of 427 inhabitants with a completely revamped town center, situated on a hill with a beautiful view of the lake. The ridge paths are popular with hikers.
The commune has a very dynamic network of associations, including basketball: LA VAILLANTE – with 110 members and 10 teams from babys to seniors.
