The Roads Department manages and maintains 376 km of municipal roads

The roads department joined the community on January 1, 2003. It has a staff of 17. The department currently manages and maintains 376 km of municipal roads. In consultation with the Roads Commission, the department organizes work schedules, manages and monitors investments, and carries out routine maintenance of pavements, shoulders, ditches and embankments. It is also responsible for preventing and combating bad weather on the communal public domain. Christel COLMAGRO – Vice-President of Coteaux et Landes de Gascogne, is the elected representative in charge of the roads department.

The department consists of :

2 supervisors, 12 permanent staff, 2 contract staff

Area of expertise :

Creation, development and maintenance of municipal roads in member communes, engineering structures, horizontal and vertical signage

Administrative :

Surveillance and conservation of the community’s public domain, issuance of road permits, management of files for occupants of the public road domain (ERDF, France Télécom, Water). Various authorizations for sporting events. Processing of applications for town planning certificates and building permits.

Construction of a photovoltaic building on community technical services land

The president recalled the communauté de communes’ commitment to the environment and its desire to develop renewable energies in the region.
The electricity generated by this photovoltaic building is estimated at 118 MWh per year, equivalent to the consumption of 40 households. It will be fed directly into the public distribution network, more specifically into the ENEDIS transformer station on the property boundary, enabling local consumption.
A project carried out by Solveo Energie.
