For the 4ᵉ edition of its L’environnement et nous forum, Coteaux et Landes de Gascogne has come up with an event dedicated to digital, with a clear ambition: don’t demonize digital technology, strive to understand it instead. Don’t reject it, but measure its effects. After all, digital technology influences almost every aspect of our daily lives: work, education, health, social relations, culture and more. It is therefore essential to understand its limitations in order to use it responsibly.
Although children are directly impacted by digital technology, they are not the only ones concerned. This forum is therefore aimed at a wide audience, both family and intergenerational.
It will be held on May 23 and 24 at the L’odyssée cinema in Casteljaloux and at the Salle des fêtes in La Réunion.
Film-debates, round tables, shows, information stands, video game competitions… This forum will enable the public to discover the many advantages of digital technology (easier access to information, communication via social networks, videoconferencing, professional tools, leverage for inclusion for isolated or disabled people), but also its dangers (dependency, loss of personal data, misinformation, cybercrime, etc.), in order to better protect themselves.

Look out for the quarterly column entitled “𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐦𝐚𝐠, 𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐱 𝐞𝐭 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐞”, which will focus primarily on the issue of waste.
At Aurélie Trevisan’s microphone, Raymond Girardi, President of Coteaux et Landes de Gascogne and his Vice-President Michel Ponthoreau, in charge of the Environment Commission, accompanied by Pauline Lefrançois, in charge of the “waste prevention and reduction” project, will answer any questions you may have about the community’s waste-related responsibilities. But also about the end of door-to-door collection of household waste (black garbage cans) and the launch on March 29 of new refuse collection points.

A technician from the Caisse Primaire d’Assurance Maladie du Lot-et-Garonne will be on hand to answer all your questions.

At the end of September, 3 new sorting bins were installed in the private parking lot of the Intermarché store in Casteljaloux.

Come and drop off glass, paper or your packaging at the same time as you do your shopping. A win-win partnership that will save you time!
