Territory Revitalization Operation (ORT)
The ORT is a tool derived from the CRTE and available to local authorities such as the Communauté de communes Coteaux et Landes de Gascogne. Its aim is to develop and implement a regional project to combat the decline of town and village centers.
In 2021, this operation was launched on the community of communes.
In conjunction with the SCET consultancy group, we carried out an inter-municipal diagnosis, which enabled us to target municipalities with revitalization potential.
The communes that have been revealed are :
- Casteljaloux, winner of the ” Small Towns of Tomorrow “
- Bouglon,
- Houeillès,
- Villefranche-du-Queyran,
- Durance,
- Sainte-Marthe,
- Beauziac and
- Pindères.
The themes addressed in developing the revitalization strategy and action plan focus on centralités (key urban hubs/town centers), as illustrated in the diagram.
