Manufacturing and distributing products consumes energy and raw materials, so natural resources are wasted every time they end up in the garbage can.
Recycling helps preserve natural resources, and thus protect our environment and our health, by transforming used products into raw materials that can be used to design new products.
However, sorting needs to be properly carried out and sustained to prove its effectiveness.
